A journal that doesn’t need to know who you are.
Lowkei is made by Shubh Jadiya and Ayush Swamy, two developers in India. We wanted somewhere to put a hard day that wouldn’t ask for an account, sell an ad, or keep a copy.
Who makes Lowkei
Shubh Jadiya and Ayush Swamy design and build Lowkei — the app, its server and this site. It’s independent: no investors, no ads, and no one else reading what you write.
What we promise
- Your words stay on your phone. Check-ins, pages, letters and Mirror chats are encrypted on the device, not uploaded.
- No ads, no trackers. There is no advertising or analytics code in the app or on this site.
- AI only when you ask. The Mirror is off until you switch it on, and it says plainly that it’s software, not a person.
- Free, all of it. Every feature is open to everyone. No ads, no in-app purchases.
- Leaving is easy. Download everything, or erase everything, in one tap.
How Lowkei looks
Lowkei is designed like a printed almanac: paper and ink, rules instead of boxes, and one colour — the Inner Weather — kept to small marks. The illustrations are ink drawings, chosen to feel like something you’d find pressed in a book.
What Lowkei is not
Lowkei isn’t therapy, a diagnosis or an emergency service. It can help you notice patterns and get through a moment, and it will point you to people who can help when that’s what you need.
